表達 討價還價，可用 haggle [ˋhægḷ]、bargain [ˋbɑrgɪn] 或 dicker [ˋdɪkɚ] ( 美式為主 ) 等字，比如表達 和某人為了某樣東西的價格討價還價，可用 haggle/bargain/dicker with someone over (或 about) the price of something；表達 說服某人把價格降到某一特定價格，可用 knock [nɑk]/beat/talk someone down to + 特定價格，這裡的 knock、beat 或 talk 也可用 haggle、bargain 或 dicker 來代替，若表達 把某樣東西的價格藉由殺價殺到某一特定價格，則可用 haggle/bargain/knock/beat/talk/dicker the price down to + 特定價格。例如： She’s haggling with the street vendor over the price of a bangle.（她正在跟街頭小販為了一只手鐲的價格討價還價。） The price tag was 10 quid, but he beat the shopkeeper down to 8.（標價10英鎊，但他跟老闆殺到8英鎊。）表達 降低價格 可在 reduce [rɪˋdjus]、lower [ˋloɚ]、cut、drop、mark down、knock down ( 口語用法 )、knock off ( 口語用法 )、roll back ( 美式為主 ) 等後面加上 the price 即可，表達降低多少價格，即 降幅，則可在 the price 後面再接上 by + 降幅，另外表達 大幅降低價格 則可用 slash [slæʃ] the price，例如： Nokia reduced the prices of its N-Series mobile phones by as much as 20%.（Nokia 調降其下N系列手機的價格，降幅高達20%。）The seller knocked down the price by a tenner. = The seller knocked a tenner off the price.（賣家把價格降低10英鎊。）
